The People of Blue Best

Natalie Curry-Sloot became one of three women owners of the company in 2023. She oversees day-to-day operations across the entire organization. During the busy season, she takes sales calls personally, staying close to the customer experience. Her background is in healthcare and pharmaceutical sales, fields that are heavily regulated and depend on trust. She brings that same approach to the plumbing, heating, air, and generator business. For Natalie, service lives in every interaction, not inside a single department. She also co-founded Peak Project, a nonprofit that offers free financial education. She lives in Davis County with her husband Marty. They raised two daughters locally.

Annie Fonnesbeck co-founded Blue Best Plumbing, Heating, Air & Generators in 2020 alongside Erin Smith. She oversees the systems side of the business, including certifications, licensing, information technology, and systems and processes. Her background includes a master's degree in bioengineering and a career in neurovascular medical devices. That experience in a regulated industry brought a discipline around documentation, precision, and accountability into the home services field. Because she arrived from outside the trades, her standard for how the company operates is shaped by what a customer would expect, not by what has been customary in the industry.

Erin Smith co-founded Blue Best Plumbing, Heating, Air & Generators in 2020 alongside Annie Fonnesbeck. She oversees the people side of the business, including recruiting, hiring, training, and marketing. Before co-founding the company, she worked in technical recruiting and business consulting and owned other businesses. Among other endeavors here, Erin created our Ready, Willing & Able Program, which works to provide year-round employment. During slow months, employees receive a pay floor of two-thirds of their hourly rate and spend time on community service projects and extra training. The program contributed to record-low turnover in 2025. She is a mom of six, and passionately involved in their schools and her community.
